At present much has been written over the valuable historic cities of Yemen, but little has been documented in a comprehensive system. As a result, much information has been lost.
For the Documentation and Information Centre, a proposal will be developed, indicating the system and the institutional setting for a Documentation and Information Centre, that will be able to gather all the information required for Urban Planners and Scientists. At present, first thoughts go in the direction of establishing one main centre in Sana'a as a Special Unit and three sub-centres in the region (North, South and East) that will be linked to the Special Unit.
Without proper documentation, an urban conservation plan cannot be established.
The actual establishment of the Centre will be beyond the scope of this programme.

· Monitoring its implementation
· Ensure its sustainability
