Capacity Building will mainly take place in-country, with the use of the existing training facilities. Trainers will be trained and assisted in the development of curriculae that can be given through the existing institutes.
It is proposed to use the newly developed technology of Distance Learning to develop short courses for decision-makers and politicians.

The trained trainers will give the training to Urban Professionals. Under this programme, the development of course modules will take place locally. International and national experts will assist the development. After translations, these course modules will be tested in the Pilot projects and when required, reviewed. The replication of the modules will be financed by the government of Yemen or through other donor agencies.

The number of Master Builders is rapidly decreasing, jeopardising the continuation of the traditional building crafts. To this end, practically oriented capacity building will take place that will guarantee the training of young professionals in the traditional building techniques. The economic incentives need to ensure that sufficient income can be generated in the future to make this line of work viable.

Capacity building will be one of the key pillars on which the future development of the sector depends. Without sufficient in-country skills, the implementation on the developed instruments will be impossible.

Testing in Pilot projects and 4 governorate seats

Arranging funding for the implementation of the training
